A woman lost her life today, Wednesday, in a traffic accident on the road to Almirante, at Mile 10, in the province of Bocas del Toro. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m., marking another fatal victim on the roads. According to preliminary reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle after falling asleep, causing it to leave the roadway. The car ended up overturned after hitting a fixed object. Units from the Public Ministry and personnel from Criminalistics arrived at the scene, where they recovered the body and initiated the corresponding proceedings to clarify what happened. With this case, the number of fatal traffic victims for the year 2026 so far has reached five, according to official reports.
