Road safety has been improved on the Arraijancito vehicular bridge following maintenance work. The preventive patching operation in the Arraijancito sector is part of a plan to address critical points on the main roads of West Panama. The institution has also confirmed that it will maintain the schedule of similar works in various communities and districts of the region for the benefit of West Panama's population. These actions facilitate smoother traffic flow in one of the district's highest-demand vehicular zones. Preventive maintenance plan Engineer Iraida Ortega, in her role as regional director of MOP West Panama 2, explained that these activities are integrated into a preventive maintenance schedule. Ortega emphasized that the improvements to the Arraijancito vehicular bridge are fundamental to provide better driving conditions and reduce the risk of incidents. The intervention was carried out with the collaboration of the Traffic Operations Directorate to manage vehicular flow, allowing for the effective correction of deteriorated sections of the bridge's surface. The work consisted of patching the asphalt carpet on the lanes leading towards the capital city, a measure aimed at improving ride quality and strengthening road safety for the thousands of users who use this structure daily.
