After several minutes of an argument between the couple, several shots from a firearm are heard, followed only by silence. On December 8th, a 35-year-old man arrived at the house he shared with Marimar and her children, in La Playita de Bique, district of Arraiján, and locked the children in a room. In this case, Marimar Pérez, 30 years old, despite suffering constant abuse from her partner, never filed a complaint against him. The firearm used in this bloody incident was not found at the scene by the National Police and the personnel of the Public Ministry during the removal of the bodies. According to family members, more than once she had to seek refuge in her mother's house with her four children. One of the 10-year-old girls is the one who comes out of the room to ask for help.
