Following conversations with the landowner, it was agreed that they would not be evicted, and it was decided to conduct a census to officially determine the number of people, children and adults, occupying the site. Both officials are in Bocas del Toro coordinating recruitment drives, where it is expected that 3,000 people will be hired in the first stage and 2,000 more subsequently; this will contribute to reactivating the province's economy. On Tuesday, around 400 applications were received, the minister indicated, and she affirmed that the drive will continue in the coming days.
