A double murder-suicide was recorded in the early hours of this Saturday in the Las Torres de Burunga area, when a man killed his partner and then took his own life. According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 5:00 a.m. when the man arrived home apparently intoxicated and, in a fit of jealousy, checked the victim's phone; he then drew a firearm with which he shot his partner, causing her death, and subsequently committed suicide. As a result of this event, it was learned that two minors (aged 2 and 17) were left orphaned. Units from the Ministry of Public Safety arrived at the scene to recover the bodies and begin investigations. Authorities are carrying out the corresponding procedures.
