Three men arrested in Panama for drug trafficking

In Panama, three men were apprehended by units of the National Border Service (Senafront) at the San Isidro checkpoint, Chiriquí province, while transporting 16 packages of drugs. The action took place during a vehicle inspection of the suspects by the anti-narcotics units and the Western Brigade, during which they located three reinforced aluminum box-type molds that contained the wrappings of the illicit substance. During the operation, border guards also found $1,579.00 in cash on the detainees, which was seized, as well as the vehicle used to transport the drugs. Upon completion of the operation, which is part of 'Steel Shield Phase 2', the detainees, the vehicle, the drugs, and the money were handed over to the Drug Prosecutor's Office for the judicial processing of the case.
