A violent incident occurred this Wednesday morning in Panama at the Azuero Center plaza in Chitré, where a citizen of Indian origin lost his life after being the victim of a firearm attack outside a car dealership. According to initial reports, the man, known as Ameth, approximately 36 years old, was attacked as he left the establishment where he was talking on the phone when the assailant approached and shot him. The gunshot wound caused his death at the scene, causing shock among merchants and people in the area. Relatives of the Indian merchant indicated that he had lived in Panama for almost 25 years, where he had built his life with his wife, his two children, and other relatives. They also stated that he had just returned from a trip to India two days ago. The man was engaged in the trade of various items such as perfumes, vehicles, and others, being widely known within the community. This homicide, the first of the year in the province of Herrera, caused consternation among those who knew him. Police and Public Ministry authorities remain at the site conducting investigations to clarify this incident.
