A merchant was killed this Wednesday morning on Belisario Porras Avenue, in the district of Chitré, Herrera province, in an event that has caused shock among residents and merchants in the area. The crime occurred near the headquarters of the National Aqueducts and Sewers Institute (IDAAN), on the section of the road leading to La Villa de Los Santos. According to preliminary information, the victim was engaged in the buying and selling of cars and also sold perfumes. Unofficial data indicates that the man had returned to the country just two days after a trip to India, although this aspect has not yet been confirmed by the authorities. The incident led to the presence of units of the National Police and officials from the Public Ministry, who began the procedures for lifting the body and starting the investigations to clarify the circumstances of the homicide.
