The Agro-Marketing Institute (IMA) confirmed that today the distribution of Christmas bags with food products begins in the province of Herrera, among them the most sought-after, a picnic-type ham.The sale event starts today and will be held at three points in the Chitré district: Chitré head town, Monagrillo, and La Arena.For December 3rd, sales will be held simultaneously in Parita, Cabuya, Santa María, El Rincón, Los Canelos, and El Limón de Santa María.And on Wednesday, December 4th, the Christmas markets will move to Ocú, Los Llanos, Chepo, Las Minas, La Pitaloza, Los Pozos, and Pesé head town, including hard-to-reach areas like Chepo de Las Minas and other communities in the interior of the province.All events will start between 5:30 and 6:00 in the morning, indicated Mike Skidmore, director of the Agro-Marketing Institute in Herrera.The Christmas bag, which will cost 15.00 balboas, includes two bags of rice, salt, sugar, a can of gandules, and a picnic ham with bone, being one of the most anticipated products for Herrera families during the season.The director of IMA in Herrera stated that, as in the rest of the country, a special line will be set up for retirees and the elderly to facilitate their access to the purchase.
