The Agricultural Marketing Institute (IMA) in the province of Colón began the production of Christmas hampers at the MIDA facilities in the Buena Vista district, in the transisthmus area, with the support of officials from Pandeporte and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
The production of Christmas hampers is part of the IMA's pre-Christmas activities, which will take place in December. IMA will distribute around 500 thousand Christmas boxes nationwide at a cost of 15 dollars each.
Each box will include products such as picnic ham, pineapple, rice, gandu, and sugar.
The sale of Christmas hampers will begin on December 3 in different provinces, including Colón, where distribution in this province will take place from December 16 to 19 in various districts.
It is expected that the people of Colón will flock to the sales centers to purchase Christmas products at prices more comfortable for their economy.
