The municipality of Colón has signed four community projects that were requested by local communities from the local authorities regarding the need for works in their areas. These four projects include the construction of a sidewalk in the Cativá community; improvements to the children's park in the town of La Feria, training classrooms in the El Carmen community, and the construction of the local house in Loma Estrella. Diógenes Galván, mayor of the Colón district, reported that these projects should generate immediately and directly about 25 jobs in the areas where they will be carried out. The mayor also indicated that 80 community works are projected in the districts, where each project provides employment to 5, 10, and up to 15 people, depending on the work. For Pedro Martínez, a 26-year-old resident of Sabanitas, he considers it necessary to improve the bus stops, many of which are in poor condition. Meanwhile, Leiza Alonso, a 39-year-old resident of Puerto Pilón, stated that in her area it is necessary to expand the road and even construct vehicle overpasses.
