New Patient Visitation Rules in Colón Hospitals

The Social Security in Colón has established new rules for patient visitation and medical information. Relatives of patients will be provided with health status updates at specific times. The first meeting with doctors will be at 10:00 AM in the patient's room. The second visit is scheduled for 5:00 PM, and the last for 10:00 PM. During these times, only one relative per patient is allowed in the room. The coordinator on duty will provide information about the hospitalized person. In the observation area of the emergency room, visiting hours have also been set in three shifts. During these times, two relatives per patient are allowed. Social Security clarified that visiting hours for patients at the new Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero complex, located in the district of Cristóbal Este, will be from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The Social Security authorities in Colón have established a series of rules at the beginning of the year for better patient care and to inform relatives of hospitalized individuals. It is also reiterated that only water is allowed to be brought in, and bringing food, flowers, and plants to hospital rooms is prohibited. The public is advised to wear appropriate attire when visiting the Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero complex. Furthermore, in the operating room and delivery room, access is allowed for one relative to get information about their loved one.
