A man died on Wednesday night after being hit by a vehicle on the Panama-Colón highway in the San Martín area, belonging to the Cativa district in Colón. The incident occurred as he was attempting to cross the road. The man was struck and his body was left lying on the side of the highway. A team of firefighters arrived at the scene and confirmed that the person, whose identity is unknown, showed no vital signs. The Traffic Police proceeded to close off the accident area so that the Public Ministry could recover the body and transport it to the judicial morgue in the city of Colón. Local residents reported that the deceased did not live in the community. An investigation has been launched into this hit-and-run, in which the person lost their life.
