Several Apprehended in Homicide Case in Panama

In Panama, a police operation led to the apprehension of several suspects linked to homicides and attempted murders in Colón province. The suspects are connected to two high-profile crimes.


Several Apprehended in Homicide Case in Panama

Panama - Through raids and searches, the Public Ministry, with the support of the National Police (PN), managed this Monday to apprehend several individuals in the province of Colón, who are linked to crimes against life and personal integrity in the form of qualified homicide and attempted homicide.

Among those apprehended for homicide are the aliases 'Maikel' and 'Menor', linked to investigations into a violent incident recorded on October 15 of this year at the intersection of 5th and 6th Amador Guerrero Street.

Similarly, the aliases 'Reynier', 'Ore', 'Perco', and 'Cosi', allegedly linked to the murder of a 23-year-old man who had been reported missing since December 10 of this year, located without life in 'Los Lotes de Buena Vista' on December 13, 2025.

Also during the operations, the alias 'Navas' was apprehended, wanted for the crime of attempted homicide, which occurred on October 14, 2025, at the Arco Iris Shelter, where he attempted to murder a person.

The operations were carried out by officials from the Specialized Homicide and Femicide Section of the Regional Prosecutor's Office of Colón and Guna Yala, in conjunction with the National Police and the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ).

The raids were carried out starting in the early morning of this Monday, December 22, 2025, and took place in the city of Colón, the community of Arco Iris, in the district of Cristóbal, and in the district of Buena Vista, in the area of the Transisthmian corridor.

Once apprehended, all the individuals and evidence were remanded to the orders of the judicial authorities.

In the coming hours, the apprehended individuals will be taken before a guarantees judge for the formulation of charges and the application of precautionary measures.
