Panamanian authorities announced that the Mariano Bula Stadium in Colón is ready for the upcoming national senior baseball championship. Work on the facility is 85% complete.

The Mariano Bula Stadium in Colón will be ready for the National Senior Baseball Championship. The announcement was made by Pandeportes authorities during a tour of the baseball coliseum and other works on the Atlantic coast. A press release from Pandeportes detailed that the home of the "Beep Beep" in National Baseball will open its doors for the Senior Championship, and to date it is 85% complete. The project, which includes a synthetic grass field with Major League Baseball specifications, will have a capacity for 5,000 fans and parking for 102 vehicles. It will also have commercial premises, bathrooms with locker rooms for athletes, a clubhouse, public restrooms, a conference room, two dormitories with a capacity for 32 players per dormitory, press booths, a medical clinic, lighting, and state-of-the-art screen and advertising ribbons. In addition to the Mariano Bula Stadium, other sports facilities on the Atlantic coast that are being improved were also visited. One of these is the Armando Dely Valdés Stadium, where soccer is practiced. "The work is 70% complete and its inauguration would be for the month of February. Currently, the synthetic grass is being laid, the roof has been finished, and work is advancing on the grandstands," the note informed. Regarding the Ismael Laguna Boxing Gym, it was reported that the facility is already finished and administrative issues are being resolved for its imminent opening. On the other hand, in Lower Colón, a sports complex is being built in the Palmas Bellas community, which includes a synthetic grass soccer field, a basketball court, and a stadium for softball and little leagues.
