The Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning (Miviot), through its Regional Directorate in Colón, has begun the social information gathering process to determine the situation of the 15 affected families. Social workers from Miviot's Directorate of Social Development are on-site, assessing the living conditions of the impacted residents and collecting the necessary information to define assistance actions. The assessments aim to identify the immediate needs of the affected families and establish the corresponding support mechanisms. The National Government continues to work on addressing this situation. A fire recorded this Friday affected the residential and commercial building No. 3027, located at 12 Domingo Díaz Street, in the city of Colón. In response, units from the Meritorious Fire Corps of the Republic of Panama arrived at the scene, continuing their work on extinguishing and controlling the fire. In this regard, the Minister of Housing and Territorial Planning, Jaime A. Jované C., is coordinating with the Directorate of Social Development on the support and assistance strategies that will be provided to the affected families.
