The modern Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital, located in the province of Colón, will open its doors to the public on December 5, once the necessary administrative procedures and technical permits for its operation are finalized. The general director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Dino Mon Vásquez, explained that the start of the hospital's operations had been delayed due to the need to obtain specific permits, such as those related to radiology equipment, the licensing of the pharmacy, and other key procedures to ensure its proper functioning. “Opening a hospital involves numerous administrative procedures. There are equipment that emit radiation and must have the corresponding permits; there are also aspects related to the pharmacy and internal procedures that must be ready for the center to operate adequately,” said Mon Vásquez. The hospital, considered one of the most modern health works in the region, will have state-of-the-art technology and is designed to efficiently serve both insured and uninsured individuals. The infrastructure consists of seven interconnected buildings, each with four floors, which will optimize patient flows and ensure their comfort.

The hospital will offer care in 14 specialties and 25 subspecialties, including general surgery, dermatology, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, proctology, and urology.
