Education Minister calls to honor the country and not create divisions

The Minister of Education, Lucy Molinar, called to "honor the country" and not create divisions during the month of November. Her statements come after the incident on November 5th in Colón, where a group of dismissed teachers attempted to participate in the parades as a form of protest. "It is the month of the homeland, we are honoring the homeland. In this exercise, the students come first. They (teachers) in Colón made a whole commotion that if they didn't march first, nobody marched. That is why the Police intervened, not because their right to express themselves was curtailed, but because we said the students first," she said. She also recalled that the teachers were on strike for three months, where, she said, "they insulted everyone".
