Authorities from the district of the province of Colón called on the railway company to invest in the population by generating jobs. After 10:00 in the morning, representatives from the district moved under the Cuatro Altos bridge, where the session of this municipal body began. Hugo Castro, president of the Colón Municipal Council, stated that they will hold meetings outside the municipal offices to seek resources for the benefit of the Colón district. He pointed out that this time they called on the railway company because their taxes do not stay in the region. He added that they are fighting to create jobs for the people of Colón in the railway sector. "We have invited several institutions and companies, but they do not come, so we will go to their places to hold sessions," he said. In turn, Diana Pájaro, representative of the Sabanitas district, indicated that in the place where they held the session, near the train tracks (Cuatro Altos), streets are in poor condition, and it is a zone with high commercial traffic, such as railway activities, the free zone, and maritime ports. She added that the private sector must support the province, but it does not, such as by helping to generate jobs in the region where the population needs work. For next Tuesday, the Colón Municipal Council will move its meeting to the old hospital in the city of Colón.
