A citizen known as 'Flecha' was apprehended in the city of Colón during the 'Escape' operation, carried out by the National Police in coordination with the Public Ministry. The detention of this individual took place in the Barrio Norte district, which is part of the Colón area. This person, known as 'Flecha', was serving a 90-month prison sentence for a crime against public security in the form of gang activity. Consequently, the apprehended individual was handed over to the corresponding authorities for due legal process and will begin to serve his sentence for gang-related offenses. In this regard, the PN urged the population to collaborate with the authorities by reporting any suspicious activities that contribute to crime prevention in Colón and other provinces of the country. Gang activities continue in various points within and outside the city of Colón, where in recent years they have spread to coastal communities.
