After more than eight years of waiting, residents of Colón will soon have the new Roberto Mariano Bula Stadium. The authorities in charge of the construction and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) of Colón region detail that there is an progress that exceeds 90%. Belisario Bonilla, in charge of the project, along with officials from the MEF of Colón, highlight that the work is 94.5% complete. According to Bonilla, the stadium is currently in the finishing phase; additionally, important areas are already completed. The restrooms are fully ready, as are the locker rooms for local and visiting teams. Furthermore, the ramp for people with disabilities has been completed, while the elevators are installed, pending the completion of the electrical system for their operation. Externally, work continues on the construction of parking lots around the stadium, one of the final stages of the project. This progress represents a decisive step for a project that has been long-awaited by the sports community and the general population after years of paralysis and uncertainty.
