David, Chiriquí, Panama.- The National Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation (Senacyt) officially inaugurated its exhibition space at the International Fair of David, with the objective of bringing scientific knowledge closer to the community of Chiriquí. Among the collaborators present are the National Metrology Center of Panama (Cenamep), the Institute of Scientific Research and High Technology Services of Panama (Indicasat), the COIBA AIP Scientific Station, and the National Institute of Advanced Research in Information and Communication Technologies (Indicatic AIP). Also participating are the International Center for Political and Social Studies (Cieps), Infoplazas AIP, the Regional Center of Innovation in Vaccines and Biopharmaceuticals (Crivb AIP), and the Center of Agricultural Specialties (Ceagro AIP). According to Dr. Ortega Barría, science is not a distant concept, but a tool present in everyday solutions that impact the health, environment, and social development of Panama. The exhibition includes specialized sections such as 'Your Future, Today,' focused on career guidance; 'Innovation that Transforms,' where cutting-edge projects are presented; and a new children's area designed for the little ones to explore scientific concepts through play. Dr. Eduardo Ortega Barría, national secretary of the institution, led the opening ceremony, highlighting that this event represents one of the most relevant meeting points for the productive, cultural, and educational activity of the region and the entire country. Innovation and Educational Offer The institutional stand, located on the ground floor of the Edificio Caballeros del Barú, operates from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. During the fair period, which extends until March 22, attendees receive direct advice on international scholarship calls and research project financing programs. Through these dynamics, the institution seeks to foster interest in STEM careers and strengthen the visibility of public innovation policies.
