From the perspective of the Nuevas Rutas Foundation, its president Mónica Suero highlighted that this sponsorship aligns with the organization's fundamental pillars in terms of child health. According to technical records, the demand for care has shown alarming peaks, with 1,231 patients in 2020 and 1,010 in 2022, figures that exceed national averages and underscore the urgency of modernizing existing facilities. Ismael González, General Director of Puerto Barú, stated in the third person that regional development must be linked to actions that generate social well-being. Currently, this hospital center serves 30% of all children under 14 with burns in Panama. This strategic alliance is intended to finance the year's goal project: the comprehensive remodeling and equipping of the Burns Room of the José Domingo de Obaldía Maternal and Infant Hospital.
