The La Chorrera District Municipality announced its calendar of activities for the Christmas celebration, which includes the traditional parade and the lighting of the lights in Libertador Park. Roberto Lee, Secretary General of the La Chorrera municipality, indicated that this year's event has been named 'Christmas Dreams' and has received the support of the private sector for its realization. Aquiles Acevedo, president of the Board of Festivities and National Anniversaries, indicated that the participation of 30 student bands in the Christmas parade, to be held on December 21, has been confirmed. Music bands from schools in the provinces of Chiriquí and Veraguas will be present alongside schools from the province of West Panama. This parade will also feature a group of floats decorated with Christmas motifs that will parade along Avenida de las Américas. In addition to the Christmas parade, the La Chorrera Municipality and the private sector have organized a Christmas village in Libertador Park, where the Christmas tree will be lit on December 13. Between the 17th and 20th of this month, cultural presentations, children's shows, live music, and other events will take place at this site. During these days and until January 6, 2026, space has been made for entrepreneurs to make sales. Permission requests must be submitted by December 9.
