The board of directors of the International Fair of La Chorrera announced details of this year's event organization, which aims to highlight the folk traditions of the West Panama province and be a source of income for entrepreneurs and artisans. This year's fair will take place from January 21 to February 2 under the motto "The Fair is for Everyone". Cristóbal Fú, president of the board, indicated that the installation of two amusement parks and the presentation of renowned Panamanian folk music artists has been confirmed. He also announced that the state entity Bingos Nacionales will hold two events with the objective of raising funds for the benefit of the Nicolás A. Solano Hospital. Fú also announced the return of exhibitors who, for various reasons, had stopped attending the fair, and the arrival of new exhibitors from the automotive industry. During the press conference, the board announced a raffle of a car valued at $34,000 among the fair's attendees. He also mentioned that the visual image of the fair's main buildings will be renovated thanks to an agreement with a company, which will also exhibit its products during the fair days. The president of the La Chorrera Fair board also revealed that they still do not fully know the financial status of the fair, although they are aware of the existence of a bank account with $14,000 in a local bank. He also said that it is still premature to establish how many jobs can be opened, prior to the start of the fair and during its development.
