Four individuals have been apprehended by the National Police (PN) in the districts of Herrera and Barrio Colón, in the La Chorrera district, province of Panamá Oeste, for the illegal possession of firearms and illicit substances.
In the first case, recorded in the Herrera district, two men were apprehended in a wooded area adjacent to the La Estancia #1 neighborhood. The location was used by both individuals to hide a "caleto" to store a .38 caliber firearm, a replica weapon, ammunition, and a telescopic sight. The hideout also contained a package with a presumed illicit substance, digital scales, technological equipment, cash, and other items.
In a second case in the San Antonio area, Barrio Balboa district, two men traveling in a vehicle were apprehended. Inside the car, a .380 caliber firearm, a magazine, and ammunition were found.
