Plaza Amador came from a 0-2 deficit to secure a draw against Club Atlético Independiente de La Chorrera (CAI) in the first leg of the Clausura tournament semifinals of the Panamanian Football League (LPF). The match was held at the Estadio Agustín Muquita Sánchez in La Chorrera. CAI took a 2-0 lead with goals from Luis García in the 15th minute and Víctor Ávila in the 45+2nd minute. However, Plaza Amador did not give up and fought back in the second half. Yoameth Murillo pulled one back for the lions in the 68th minute. The equalizer came in the 90+1st minute when Joseph Jones rose highest to head home a corner kick. The second leg of this tie, which will determine a spot in the LPF Final, will be held on Saturday, November 22, at the COS Sport Plaza starting at 8:00 PM.
