Technicians from the Water Quality Department of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) in Los Santos conducted a sanitary evaluation at the Llano de Piedra water treatment plant, in the Macaracas district, following the cleaning and disinfection operation carried out in the last few hours. During the inspection, the technical team verified the application of the deep disinfection process with calcium hypochlorite and the correct redistribution of the product throughout the plant. Likewise, microbiological tests were carried out to verify the efficiency of the process and to ensure that the treated water meets the established parameters for its potability. Minsa is awaiting the National Aqueducts and Sewers Institute (IDAAN) to carry out the disinfection of the pipeline that carries the treated water to homes, to determine if the liquid reaching the homes is free of microorganisms. These actions are part of the permanent monitoring that Minsa Los Santos carries out to ensure safe and quality water for communities.
