On the morning of this Thursday, November 13, the President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, put into operation ramp C at the Hipódromo Interchange, part of the South Corridor expansion project, benefiting more than 100,000 users of this roadway. This access or exit, which aims to reduce travel times and alleviate vehicular congestion on the South Corridor, is part of the project developed by the National Highway Company (ENA) that includes four ramps, in addition to a new internal roadway with a turnaround on Paseo del Mar Avenue, in Costa del Este.
President Mulino highlighted that these works can be developed thanks to the contribution of all Panamanians with their taxes, for which he urged requesting an invoice to contribute to increasing revenues and being able to continue inaugurating road, health, education, and other projects carried out by the government.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Public Works, José Luis Andrade, highlighted that the opening of this new ramp represents significant advances in the road connectivity of the metropolitan area, offering a concrete response to the growing mobility demand in this strategic area of the capital.
Yessica Goti, general manager of ENA, highlighted that the new ramp is more than just infrastructure; it is a testament to the entity's vision to improve the quality of life for thousands of users who travel on this route.
Once completed, they will allow for a more agile, safe, and efficient circulation between the different sectors of the eastern part of the city and the metropolitan center.
The new ramp, located in the Hipódromo Presidente Remón area, will improve traffic flow and connectivity in one of the highest-traffic areas in the eastern part of the city, benefiting more than 100,000 daily users who travel between Juan Díaz, Parque Lefevre, Costa del Este, Chanis, and Ciudad Radial.
