The Municipality of Panama officially formalized the awarding of a $2.3 million contract for the improvement of the municipal pools in Betania, San Francisco, and Calidonia, after the claims period concluded on November 21.

According to official information, the work was awarded to the Nexus Consortium, made up of Estudios Alcances y Desarrollos, S.A. and Alfa Mega Construcciones, S.A., under Resolution of Adjudication No. 068-CD-2025 for an exact amount of $2,337,777.00.

The resolution was uploaded to Panama Compras on November 7 and, after the claims period, it was ready to proceed.

The facilities have been closed for several weeks following a municipal order to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.

According to the Municipality, the measure aims to protect public health and ensure that the pools meet the necessary standards for community use.

With the firm adjudication, the project now enters its administrative and technical phases, with the goal of delivering safe, functional, and suitable spaces for recreation for the capital's families.
