The Minister of Labor and Labor Development of Panama, Jackeline Muñoz de Cedeño, emphasized that labor reintegration is a commitment that must be shared jointly by the State, the private sector, and society. "Today we celebrate a historic step in Panama with the inauguration of the First Industrial Workshop Off-Site of the Plan Libertad, a project that represents much more than a physical training space, it represents trust, second chances, and a profound commitment to human dignity," stated the minister. The inauguration event was led by the First Lady, Maricel de Mulino, and the Minister of Government, Dinoska Montalvo. The labor minister highlighted that the initiative represents a significant advance towards a more inclusive Panama, where employment is understood as a right and second chances are materialized through concrete actions. "You are part of this country, you have talent, and today Panama is giving you an opportunity to prove it, the new workshop projects a symbol of hope, productivity, and the certainty that freedom is also built through work," concluded the minister. The project, promoted by the Ministry of Government (Mingob), was described by Muñoz as a step towards a more inclusive Panama that builds second chances through concrete actions and decent work. The objective is for workshop participants not only to get to know the reality of the Panamanian labor market, but also to acquire essential knowledge about the management of their resources. Minister Muñoz highlighted the leadership of Minister Dinoska Montalvo, whose vision has been key to turning resocialization into an effective public policy. The initial work will include the making of uniforms for ministry officials. In addition to the hiring, the minister indicated that they will work together with cooperatives and social organizations.
