Panama is solidifying its global position through two major projects: Panama House SXSW and Panama Creator Summit. Led by Ana Pérez Mackenzie, the creator of the BIY Panama concept, these initiatives aim to establish the country as a premier tourist destination and an international hub for creators in sectors like technology, business, fashion, and travel. The projects seek to connect Panama with global audiences that set trends and influence investment decisions.
Panama House SXSW will take place from March 16-18 as part of the globally renowned South by Southwest festival in Austin. Participation in the "Country House" format will allow Panama to generate strategic, long-lasting content, boost the destination's visibility on digital platforms, and capture data from a high-purchasing-power audience. The festival's significance lies in its reach, attracting over 500,000 attendees.
Meanwhile, the Panama Creator Summit will be held from August 11-16 with the goal of making Panama the meeting point for top international creators. The summit will feature conferences and professional meetings across various verticals, including gastronomy, finance, wellness, and real estate. Supported by a robust marketing budget and international participants producing content from Panama, the event will amplify the destination's narrative as the creative capital of the region.
