Panama is hosting the 'Latin American Davos', the Latin American and Caribbean International Economic Forum, with several regional leaders participating. Colombian President Gustavo Petro and Bolivian President Luis Arce joined the list of attendees. Both heads of state were received by Panama's Foreign Minister Javier Martínez-Acha. Guatemalan President Bernardo Arévalo also arrived for the summit. Nobel Peace Prize laureate Rigoberta Menchu proposed a 'revolution of consciousness' for Latin America. CAF's CEO, Sergio Díaz-Granados, announced the organization plans to grow its portfolio by 70% by 2031 with new approvals of $100 billion to solidify its role as the main development financing source for the region. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva also arrived in Panama for the CAF forum.
