A 62-year-old woman, Nilka de Obaldía, has passed away after being in critical condition for fourteen days, her family confirmed. She died on the afternoon of Thursday, October 30. De Obaldía, who had suffered burns to 40% of her body, was one of the people affected by the explosion at the PH Alsacia Towers on October 16. With her death, the number of fatalities from this tragic incident rises to two, adding to the death of Ámbar Guelfi, which occurred days after the disaster. The explosion shook the building located in Panama City, leaving a balance of pain and consternation among relatives and residents of the area. Meanwhile, the child Ian, also affected by the explosion, remains admitted to the Children's Hospital, where he is under medical observation. According to reports from October 21, his hemoglobin level is still low, so his relatives reiterated the urgent call to the population to donate blood, a vital support for his recovery.
