The Archbishop invited people to live Christmas not from rush or noise, but from the silence of the heart, trusting waiting, and inner availability.
“Christmas is not turkey, nor is it ham, nor is it rice with gandules, Christmas is Jesus,” expressed this Wednesday the Archbishop of Panama, Monsignor José Domingo Ulloa, on the eve of this Christian celebration.
In addition, he explained that Christmas does not begin tonight in the manger, but when the heart empties of the superfluous to make room for the essential.
“God is not born where it is full, but where someone accepts being poor, small, available,” he added.
This Christmas 2025, Monsignor called for not resisting the experience of knowing oneself as a beloved child of God, remembering that the greatest proof of that love is the birth of Jesus, the “God with us”.
During the Christmas vespers mass celebrated with the Sisters of the Visitation, Ulloa pointed out that, amid the hurry typical of these dates, one must keep a space to contemplate Jesus, who came into the world to give salvation.
