Truck Loaded with Cement Overturns on Centenario Highway in Panama

A crane is currently being awaited to lift the truck and move the cement to another company vehicle. Authorities are asking for patience and, if possible, to avoid the area while the truck and cement bags are removed. The congestion is severe as this is a key route during peak hours. There is partial disruption to traffic. A truck loaded with cement bags overturned on the Centenario highway, heading towards the city center. Units from the National Directorate of Traffic Operations (#DNOT) are on site, managing traffic and responding to a traffic accident involving a semi-truck. Although the overturned vehicle does not directly obstruct the lanes, a traffic jam has still formed. There is additional concern about a fuel leak, so safety maneuvers are being prepared before moving the truck. Traffic and Fire Department units have arrived at the scene. The driver was taken to the hospital. This morning's traffic headache began early. The vehicle came to rest on the side of the road, near the Rod Carew stadium and before the entrance to the Northern Corridor. Thousands of people pass through here on their way to work, ports, and the capital's center. Drive with caution.
