Panama will once again be the stage for a major cultural event with the second edition of MoonFest – Mundial Cultural 2026, an international festival that will celebrate the diversity of world traditions through gastronomy, art, music, and cultural exchange. The event, organized and produced by ADN Creativo, will take place on April 11 at the historic ruins of Panama Viejo in the capital city and on April 19 at the Art and Culture Center of Colón, inviting families, culture lovers, and the general public to experience a multicultural journey. Following the successful debut of MoonFest Ancestral Culture 2025, which brought together thousands of attendees at Panama Viejo, the festival returns with an expanded proposal that integrates cultures from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, highlighting the richness of communities that have contributed to Panama's social, cultural, and economic development. During the festival, the public will enjoy cultural performances, international fashion shows, traditional dances, and folk spectacles featuring representations from countries such as India, Morocco, Turkey, Indonesia, China, and Mexico, alongside Panamanian cultural expressions like the Folkloric Ballet of the Panama Canal and the Sor Angelita Folkloric Ensemble from Nuestra Señora School, as well as flamenco and oriental dance performances. As part of its innovative concept, MoonFest – Mundial Cultural 2026 also incorporates sports into its program, in the context of global anticipation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, thanks to an alliance with the Panamanian Football League (LPF), which will feature a sports zone and a parade of national football club jerseys. The festival will also offer a diverse gastronomic experience with flavors from the world, including traditional Arab and Indian dishes such as shawarma, sambusas, and typical desserts, as well as culinary offerings from invited restaurants. Thinking of the enjoyment for the whole family, the event will include a children's area run by Crazy Park, as well as spaces for entrepreneurs, artisans, and companies looking to promote cultural products and experiences. One of the most anticipated attractions will be the opportunity for attendees in Panama and Colón to participate in tombolas to win a trip to Istanbul, thanks to the support of Turkish Airlines, thus encouraging cultural exchange and international tourism. The festival is supported by the Ladies of the Islamic Committee of Colón and the Arab Union Club of Colón, and has the backing of the Ministry of Culture of Panama. In this edition, the event will also have a solidarity component, dedicating proceeds to the Pedro J. Sosa School of Calidonia and social programs of the Ladies of the Islamic Committee of Colón.
