Panama Implements Lane Reversal on Centenary Bridge to Ease Traffic

the Transit and Land Transport Authority (ATTT) implemented a lane reversal operation on the Centenary Bridge, aiming to alleviate vehicular traffic in both directions. The operation will continue until late at night and will resume at 5:00 a.m. this Tuesday, April 7th, to facilitate drivers' travel to the city of Panama. This measure is a response to the increase in vehicular congestion following the closure of the Bridge of the Americas, one of the main routes connecting the capital with West Panama. The closure was ordered preventively after a tanker truck fire in the La Boca sector, beneath the structure, which forced the initiation of technical inspections to verify the bridge's condition and ensure users' safety.
