Two Sweepers Run Over in Panama

Two sweepers from the Urban and Domestic Cleaning Authority (AAUD) were run over by a green devil on José Agustín Arango Avenue, in Juan Díaz.

The incident was captured on video that is currently circulating on social networks. The victims, identified as Eusebia de Suárez and Yadira Pinto, were taken to the Irma de Lourdes Tzanetatos Hospital in the 24 de Diciembre area, where they received first aid.

The "little ants," as they are known, were on their working hours when they were hit by the public transport vehicle.

According to the latest information, the worker will be transferred to the Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex in the Transístmica area, as doctors determined that she will need surgery due to the severity of her injuries. Her companion is in a more stable condition.

Although she is out of danger, she remains shocked and very frightened by the strong impact she suffered during the hit. Administrative, human resources, and social work staff from AAUD went to the hospital to accompany the victims and follow up on the situation, while awaiting the results of the surgery for the most injured worker.
