Guardianes 2026 Operation in Panama: Combating Environmental Crimes

Through the Guardianes 2026 operation, environmental authorities have apprehended individuals and rescued wildlife in critical conservation areas. These interventions were carried out in collaboration with the Meritorious Fire Corps of Panama. During the Guardianes 2026 operation, significant seizures of marine and forest resources have been recorded. The entity will continue to work in synergy with EME-Ambiental, SINAPROC, and other organisms to ensure compliance with current regulations and the protection of ecosystem services during the Guardianes 2026 operation. This species is in critical danger according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). MiAMBIENTE reminds that the hunting, trade, and possession of products derived from sea turtles is strictly prohibited. For these tasks, the institution has deployed a force of 631 officials, including operational and administrative personnel, supported by a fleet of 88 vehicles, 17 boats, and 13 four-wheel motorcycles.
