The torch for the XIV South American Youth Games arrived in the capital city, and at Parque Omar, the First Lady of the Republic, Maricel Cohen de Mulino, welcomed it after it had traveled the entire country. The Youth Games will kick off on Sunday at 7:00 PM at the Rommel Fernández G. Stadium, Irving Saladino Sports City. Panama will host the games from April 12 to 25, 2026, bringing together over 2,000 athletes from 15 countries, aged 14 to 17. The Games' mascot is the Golden Frog, an endangered species that inhabits Anton Valley.
