Panama – The body of a young man who had been reported as missing in Pedasí (Los Santos) was recovered this Friday by personnel from the Search and Rescue of the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc). According to official data, the young man disappeared yesterday, Thursday, when many people headed to the rivers of Los Santos to enjoy the New Year. Unfortunately, the young man disappeared in the waters of a recreational area, and his body was located by rescuers today under a vehicular bridge that divides the communities of Las Jaminas, in the district of Pocrí, and that of Buenos Aires, in Pedasí. After the body was recovered, Sinaproc coordinated with the Public Ministry for its personnel to carry out the lifting procedure. Sinaporc reiterated the call to the general public to take extreme preventive measures and avoid crossing swollen rivers and streams, especially because for this Friday the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama forecast rains of varying intensity in almost the entire national territory.
