The Panamanian team, led by pilot José Mayorga, continues to fine-tune its preparations for its debut in the World Classic, where they will face Cuba on March 6 at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico. For the World Classic, Panama has several players with experience in Major League Baseball. In the 2026 World Classic, the Panamanian team was seeded in Group A, alongside Cuba, Canada, Colombia, and the host nation, Puerto Rico. "We have to work," stated pitcher Humberto Mejía, who added that playing in the recent Caribbean Series in Mexico with the Federales de Chiriquí has kept him "in good rhythm" for the World Classic, a very tough tournament. The Panamanian team returned to Rod Carew Stadium for fundamental drills and pitcher workouts. All games will be played at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from March 6 to 11.
