In its constant process of institutional development, the Association of Social Workers of Panama held a constitutional literacy workshop during its General Assembly, celebrated in Santiago de Veraguas. It fell upon Ms. Jennifer Voukidis, head of the Veraguas Provincial Secretariat of the Comptroller's Office and Coordinator of SEPRESAC in Veraguas, to guide the social workers through the constitutional reform process, which at the national level is led by Dr. Miguel Antonio Bernal. Representing Dr. Bernal, Ms. Voukidis interacted with the audience in a very fluid roundtable discussion, where she explained what a Constituent Assembly is, why it is convened, what our responsibilities are as a society, and why we must be committed to ensuring our rights are respected in a democratic state.
