Container movement in Panama has grown by 15.1% compared to the previous year, with approximately 820,624 units of containers mobilized.

In the past year, container movement in Panama experienced a 15.1% increase compared to the year 2023. During this period, around 820,624 units of 20-foot, 40-foot, and 45-foot containers were mobilized.

This significant growth reflects the importance of maritime trade for the Panamanian economy and highlights the key role the country plays as a logistical and connectivity center between different regions.

According to the figures provided, the increase in container movement demonstrates the dynamism and competitiveness of the port sector in Panama. This positive trend also showcases the country's infrastructure capacity to manage an increasing volume of cargo and maintain high standards of efficiency.

In relation to these results, the Minister of Economy and Finance of Panama emphasized the importance of continuing to invest in the modernization and improvement of port services to further enhance the country's economic development.
