The Guarantee Fund of Panama received an allocation of B/.150 million with the aim of improving access to financing for MSMEs. This initiative is driven by Banconal, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
According to the official statement, this sustainable financing program seeks to strengthen the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise sector in Panama, providing them the opportunity to access financial resources more easily and under favorable conditions.
In the words of the IDB representative in Panama, it is highlighted: "With this initiative, we seek to support the growth and development of MSMEs in the country, promoting their contribution to economic growth and job creation."
The collaboration between Banconal, the IDB, and the MEF is essential to promote entrepreneurship and sustainability of MSMEs in Panama, thus fostering a conducive environment for economic development through access to financing.
