1,800 Kilos of Drugs Seized in Panama

The National Police of Panama, in collaboration with the Public Ministry, has seized 1,800 kilos of drugs hidden in a container coming from Chile, destined for Israel. Investigations continue to dismantle drug trafficking networks.


The National Police, together with the Public Ministry, carried out a search and seizure operation at a port on the Pacific coast, resulting in the seizure of 42 suitcases containing 1,180 packages with alleged illegal substances. These drug-laden suitcases were hidden inside a container coming from Chile and were destined for Israel.

As part of its intelligence operations, the National Police continues to work to dismantle organizations dedicated to drug trafficking through the country's ports.

The seizure of 1,800 kilograms of drugs is a severe blow to the traffickers and a significant step in the fight against this scourge. Authorities continue their investigations to identify those responsible for this illicit shipment and bring them to justice.

This joint operation between the National Police and the Public Ministry sends a clear message that Panama is committed to combating drug trafficking and protecting its citizens from the dangers this crime entails.
