Units of the National Anti-Drug Direction of the National Police seized 94 rectangular packages with alleged illicit substances as part of the Firmness Plan. The drugs were found inside two containers at a Pacific port.
According to the authorities, the containers were destined for Belgium and arrived at the port from Peru, with a transshipment in Panama. This seizure was carried out as part of the control and surveillance operations conducted by the National Police to combat drug trafficking in the country.
"This important blow against drug trafficking is the result of the hard work of our anti-drug units. We remain committed to maintaining firmness in the fight against this scourge that causes so much harm to our society," stated a spokesperson for the National Police.
The seizure of the 94 kilos of drugs represents a significant blow against the drug trafficking networks operating in the region. Police authorities continue to investigate to determine those responsible for this attempt to ship drugs to Europe.
