Residents presented seven proposals aimed at improving the quality of life in the district, highlighting the importance of these mechanisms for transparent and effective public management. After the evaluation and voting process, the project to improve the rural aqueducts of the Nuevo Paraíso community was selected, a need repeatedly mentioned by residents due to limitations in the drinking water supply. For the project's execution, $50,000 will be allocated, coming from funds provided by the National Decentralization Authority through resources from the Real Estate Transfer Tax (ITBI). The event was attended by residents of the district, officials from the National Decentralization Authority, the mayor of Colón, Diógenes Galván, and the representative of Salamanca, Janesy Bonilla.
«The community board of the Salamanca district, in the Colón Transisthmica area, was the stage where residents defined the improvements for rural aqueducts during a citizen consultation day organized by the Colón Municipality and local authorities».
