Panama: BCIE Launches Multilingual Digital Platform to Boost Global Reach
The BCIE's revamped platform aims to enhance transparency and accountability, facilitating access to detailed information on its projects and real-time data. This tool enables faster searches using natural language and provides more precise results, optimizing the user experience.
Additionally, the BCIE positions itself as the first multilateral bank to adopt digital accessibility functionality (InSuit), adapted to international standards. Its digital architecture also facilitates live streaming of institutional events, connecting global audiences with the Bank's main activities and announcements.
Gisela Sánchez, Executive President of the BCIE, stated that “this new website reaffirms our commitment to transparency, accountability, accessibility, and the use of artificial intelligence. We want all people to clearly understand who we are, how we work, the projects we drive, and the positive impact we generate”.
The new portal (www.bcie.org) incorporates a dynamic project search engine that provides immediate access to detailed information about the operations the Bank promotes. This feature consolidates its international projection and its role as a key player in sustainable development with a presence on three continents: America, Europe, and Asia.
The platform features dynamic sections that include live data and interactive dashboards, allowing users to visualize in real-time the results and impact of the financed projects. This key functionality strengthens transparency, accountability, and open access to data for citizenship.

The portal's new design reflects the BCIE's global nature by being available in five languages—Spanish, English, Korean, Mandarin, and French.
